Engagements for 2009/2010

In the 2009 Christmas period, we will be playing the follwing three concerts.

Sunday 6th December, The Spires, Barnet - 2.00

Once again, we will be playing carols at Barnet's shopping Centre to entertain the locals as they stock up for Christmas and to raise money for this year's charity, Barnet Mencap.

Saturday 12th December, QE Boys, Barnet - 7.30

This is our annual winter concert which will be in aid of Barnet Mencap this year. It will feature seasonal music to celebrate Christmas and Chanukah and we look forward to a festive occasion at which we will raise money for this worthy local charity.

Sunday 20th December, St. James Church, New Barnet - 6.30

The band will be playing for the church's Christmas Carol Service as well as welcoming the congregation as they arrive.

2010 will see us at many of the old venues revisited, the ones which have been confirmed at this moment are...

Sunday 20th June, RAF Museum, Hendon - 2.00 to 4.00

This is our first engagement of the year at the Hendon RAF Museum, where we will be playing at a special weekend in June. This is a fantastic venue and we've played here last year, with the entire band nestled under the wing of a Wellington Bomber. It's a nerve-racking place to play the RAF March but the ambience of the hall, surrounded by aircraft of all shapes and sizes and ages makes the experience unforgettable. if you wish to hear us playing here last year, just CLICK HERE

Sunday 11th July, Finchley Nurseries - 2.00 to 4.00

This is our first visit of the season and it is at that time of the year when everything is in bloom at this delightful nursery. Our audience can relax, soak in the ambience and enjoy a cream tea to pass the afternoon away.

Sunday 5th September, Finchley Nurseries - 2.00 to 4.00

This is our return visit to this nursery, generally the last outdoor gig of the year but, on this occasion, to be followed by two more concerts. Here we sit amongst the dahlias as the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness creeps into the calendar. Yet more cream teas greet our audience with many returning faces to tell us that our previous visit here must have pleased someone. It's a comfortable place to play, tinged with the feelings that come towards the end of a season.

Sunday 12th September, RAF Museum, Hendon - 12.15 to 3.30

This is our second engagement of the year at the Hendon RAF Museum, where we take our place once again nestled safely under the wing of a Wellington Bomber!

Saturday Sept 18th Grahame Park Festival - 12.15 - 3.00

This year, we will return to play at this festival in The Open Space, Grahame Park, off Lanacre Avenue. This venue is just a stone's throw from the RAF Museum, the former home of the Grahame White's aircraft factory which gave Grahame Park its name.

The Grahame Park Festival is run by the Grahame Park Residents' Association and will feature lots of live music - including us - African and Irish dancing and a gospel choir. For the younger visitors, there will be a bouncy castle, funfair, face painting, food, arts and crafts stalls and an arts and crafts arena .

Other concerts will be posted here as soon as they are confirmed
